1. Small country

Slovenia is a relatively small country. However, this does not mean you will be done exploring the country in a few days, because wow this country is beautiful! The nice thing about it being small is that you don’t have to drive far to find a whole new environment in front of you: big mountains, green forest, clear waterfalls and cute cities.

2. (Wild) camping

You are not allowed to wild camp in Slovenia, partly because it the country is so small and they don’t have the space. Nevertheless, you will be able to find many amazing campsites close to wherever you want to adventure and some of them still feel like wild camping: in the middle of nature and almost no people around. If wou want to tour the city, you also don’t need to walk or bike far for a nice campsite.

3. Crazy nature & small cities

Slovenian nature has one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever seen. Almost everywhere you look you see something beautiful, sometimes even breathtaking. Next to nature, Slovenia also has some cities or better said villages. The capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, is nice but also very small. You don’t need more than a day. So while the cities are idyllic, the nature is why you need to go to Slovenia.

4. The road and traffic

The roads feel very safe and well taken care of. Going up into the mountains you will find roads like showcased in the picture.

5. Groceries

Food in Slovenia is okay. Groceries are pretty expensive. Eating out is not much cheaper. But they do have this deliciously sweet dessert.
